The Board may elect to take formal action on any of the items listed below.

1.  Approval of Meeting Minutes 

Recommended Action: Approve draft minutes of April 13, 2022 (Revised) and January 10, 2023 

2.  Open Time for Items Not on the Agenda 

Comments will be heard for items not on the agenda (limited to three minutes per speaker).  

3.  Engineer’s Report 

A. Marin City Stormwater Plan 

B. Marin City Stormwater Pond Infrastructure Improvements (Written Update Only) 

C. Marin City Donahue Portable Pump Station (Written Update Only) 

D. Supporting Enhanced Storm Drain Inspection and Cleaning in Zone 3 

E. Tamalpais Valley Neighborhood Group 

F. Crest Marin Pump Station Condition Assessment 

G. Cardinal Road Levee Seepage Mitigation 

Recommended Action: Recommend the District Board of Supervisors award a design and permitting contract for levee seepage mitigation with a budget of no more than $325,000. 

4.  Other Written Updates (non-District efforts of interest) 

A. Green Infrastructure Study in Marin County Roads 

B. Marin LAFCo Golden Gate Corridor Study 

C. Marin County Multi-Jurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Plan 

5.  Annual and Preventive Maintenance Work Program (Written Update Only)

B. Vegetation and Sediment Removal 

C. Levee Maintenance 

6.  Proposed Zone 3 Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Baseline Budget 

Recommended Action: Recommend the District Board of Supervisors adopt the baseline budget. 

7.  Schedule of Next Meetings 

Advisory Board adopted a schedule of advisory board meetings on the second Tuesday of the months of January, April, July, and October. Special meetings can be called if needed, and regular meetings may be canceled if there is no business need. 

 

 

 

 

 

GUIDELINES FOR TIME LIMITS ON PRESENTATION AND PUBLIC TESTIMONY 

The Flood Zone Advisory Board meeting procedure and time limit guidelines are as follows:  

  1. Flood Control District staff report. 
5 – 10 minutes 
  1. Advisory Board questions to staff. 
No defined limit 
  1. Public Testimony. 
3 minutes per speaker 
(Written Testimony is greatly appreciated and should be received no later than 2:00 p.m. on the day prior to the meeting. Please send written testimony to floodinquiry@marincounty.org. When written testimony is presented, it is not necessary to read the entire text into the minutes; it will automatically become part of the record.) 
  1. Deliberation by the Advisory Board. 
No defined limit 
  1. Decision by Board. 
No defined limit

Before the Meeting: Email comments to floodinquiry@marincounty.org no later than 2pm  

on April 11 including a name and the agenda item number being responded to; if the comment is general include “Agenda Item 2 – Open Time for Items Not on the Agenda”.
