The Novato Creek Watershed is a 45-square mile basin. Its creeks flow through unincorporated Marin County and the City of Novato, and into San Pablo Bay near the mouth of the Petaluma River.
It is the largest watershed in eastern Marin County.
Flood Control Zone 1: Novato
The watershed includes Flood Control Zone 1: Novato within it's boundaries. The Zone has an advisory board appointed by the District Board that reviews projects and how funds are spent. Their meetings are open to the public.
