San Rafael Creek

The San Rafael watershed covers 11 square miles. The creek starts in the hills above the Tamalpais Cemetery. From there it flows through residential and industrialized areas before forming the San Rafael Canal. The creek enters San Rafael Bay at Pickleweed Park.

San Rafael Creek and Canal were once important commercial waterways in Marin. Today, they are being used as marinas for recreational watercraft.
