The Marin County Flood Control & Water Conservation District is pleased to share news of the completion of the Santa Venetia Timber-Reinforced Berm (TRB) repairs planned for this year. Our contractor finished the job ahead of schedule, under budget and ahead of upcoming king tides. Between the months of September and October 2023, the crew replaced the old TRB at nine properties between 301 and 501 Vendola Drive with new reinforcing materials that will help it better protect the community.
There are segments of TRB behind an additional approximately 20 properties that are a high priority for repair in 2024. We look forward to sharing the scope and estimated cost for next year’s repair work at the next scheduled meeting of the Flood Zone 7 Advisory Board on March 28.
