Upgrades to County rain and stream gauges
In 2015 the District received a Flood Emergency Response Program (FERP) Grant to upgrade all its existing stream and rain gauges. This funding also allowed us to put gauges in new sites, doubling size of our network.
New sites
- Zone 1: Novato
- Zone 3: Mill Valley
- Zone 4: Bel Aire (Tiburon)
- Zone 9: Ross Valley
- Civic Center (near Zones 6 and 7 – Santa Venetia, Rafael Meadows and Redwood Village)
The new gauges improve available data for studies and situational awareness in storms.
