The Richardson Bay watershed links together the communities of:
- Mill Valley
- Tiburon
- Sausalito
- Marin City
- Tamalpais Valley
- Belvedere
Flood Zone 3 and Flood Zone 4
The watershed includes two Flood Control Zones within it's boundaries:
- Zone 3: Richardson Bay
- Zone 4: Bel Aire
The Zone has an advisory board appointed by the District Board that reviews projects and how funds are spent. Their meetings are open to the public.
