Flood protection

Everyone has a role to play in flood protection. The District takes a “Whole Community” approach to flood risk reduction, which requires communities and government agencies to work together to understand, identify and assess flood risk reduction needs and solutions. The collaboration and shared understanding makes communities more resilient to flooding and better able to adapt and respond when floods occur.
